Our Team

Stephen worked for a large public accounting firm for the first 5 years of his professional career. Most of his clients were owners/managers of small and medium enterprises. Working with and supporting small and medium business is second nature to Stephen. He also gained experience in real estate, non profit (hospitals and charities), importing and exporting, retail and manufacturing businesses.

Stephen moved to Toronto with his wife, Nicole in 1996 - and moved from public practice to industry. He spent a number of years working in the publishing and real estate services industries while taking on more and more operational responsibilities with each of the companies he worked with.

Stephen had the pleasure of working with some of the largest Accounting, Legal, Private Equity and Financial Advisory firms in Toronto and New York City while working through financial restructurings, acquisitions, CCAA proceeds and valuations. He also had the privilege of building and working with excellent finance teams and more importantly, excellent people.

On the operations side, he had the opportunity to oversee and manage a Customer Service Call Center, a Warehouse and Distribution Center and has worked hand in hand with Information Technology and Human Resources.

Stephen’s experience with hands on renovations, project management and status as "landlord" provides him with a diverse base of experience, which helps in all of the work he does.

Stephen continues to live in the east end of Toronto with his wife, Nicole, and one grown sons (the other moved out) and their dog, Mila. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the guitar, brewing beer, playing tennis, cycling and spending time with his family.

Jiane He graduated from the University of Waterloo with a double major in Honours Bachelor of Mathematics and Management Accounting in 2001.  She further pursued and completed her professional designation as a Certified Management Accountant in 2003.

During her career she has gained vast knowledge in corporate accounting processes working at various industries including a public accounting firm, a not-for-profit organization, an international healthcare transformation consulting company, an educational publishing company, an international product development company and a healthcare clinic.  She is well verse in preparing financial reports, account reconciliations, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting and much more.  In all these organizations, she was able to work in collaboration with multiple departments and apply her accounting knowledge to help further the organizations workflow.

She has worked her way up to being a Senior Manager Accounting and Payables position at Nelson Education Ltd. and oversaw a team of accountants and payable specialists under her supervision.  During these experiences she worked closely with different people at various levels and departments.  This allowed her to gain more knowledge about the company’s workflows which enabled her to perform her task more efficiently and effectively as well having a better understanding of the business needs.  Jiane was well known for her attention to detail, her ability to complete tasks in a timely and organized manner and her easy-going personality.

She is glad to join Steve to help serve the business community in all accounting related matter.

Shayan's taken on a multitude of roles in various industries and public accounting firms. His forte lies in collaborating closely with the Tax and Business advisory teams, helping clients navigate the intricate world of tax optimization and cash management. What truly sets Shayan apart is his exceptional communication skills. His ability to convey complex financial concepts in a way that's clear and understandable to clients is nothing short of impressive. He understands the paramount importance of a client-focused approach, ensuring that our clients' needs are not just met, but exceeded. When he's not crunching numbers or strategizing tax plans, you'll find Shayan in the heart of Downtown Toronto with his wife, Kulsum, and they're even in the process of adopting a furry feline friend. As if that weren't enough, in his spare time, Shayan enjoys the heat of hot yoga, the serenity of swimming, and the thrill of traveling to new destinations. We're thrilled to have Shayan on board, and we can't wait to see how his expertise and vibrant personality will enhance our team.
