Stephen Aubert

Chartered Professional Accountant

“I've had the privilege of building, working with and leading excellent finance teams and more importantly, excellent people.”

Stephen Aubert attended Concordia University, earning his Bachelor of Commerce in 1992 and Graduate Diploma in Accountancy in 1994. He obtained his Chartered Accounting designation in January 1995.

Stephen worked for Richter, Usher and Vineberg in public accounting for the first 5 years of his professional career. Most of his clients were owners/managers of small and medium enterprises. Working with and supporting small and medium business is second nature to Stephen. He also gained experience in real estate, non profit (hospitals and charities), importing and exporting, retail and manufacturing businesses.

He moved to Toronto with his wife, and cat, in 1996 - and moved from public practice to industry. He spent a number of years working in the publishing and real estate services industries while taking on more and more operational responsibilities with each of the companies he worked with.

Stephen had the pleasure of working with some of the largest Accounting, Legal, Private Equity and Financial Advisory firms in Toronto and New York City while working through financial restructurings, acquisitions, CCAA proceeds and valuations. He also had the privilege of building and working with excellent finance teams and more importantly, excellent people.

On the operations side, he had the opportunity to oversee and manage a Customer Service Call Center, a Warehouse and Distribution center and has worked hand in hand with Information Technology and Human Resources.

Stephen’s experience with hands on renovations, project management and experience as a landlord provides him with a diverse base of experience, which helps in all of the work he does.

Stephen continues to live in the east end of Toronto with his wife, Nicole, and two grown sons...and their bernedoodle Mila. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the guitar, brewing beer, playing tennis, cycling and spending time with his family.
